ITINERARY & ACTIVITIES
Day 01 :
Arrival | Colombo to Sigiriya
- Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (Colombo).
- Meet and greet by your tour representative.
- Drive to Sigiriya (approx. 4 hours).
- Visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO-listed ancient rock fortress with stunning frescoes and breathtaking views.
- Optional: evening elephant safari at Minneriya National Park (seasonal).
- Check in at the hotel in Sigiriya and relax.
Day 02 :
Habarana & Dambulla
- Visit Habarana, known for its lush greenery and wildlife experiences.
- Optional: an elephant ride or a traditional village tour.
- Drive to the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO-listed site with golden Buddha statues and ancient murals.
- Explore the Golden Temple of Dambulla, a sacred Buddhist pilgrimage site.
- Return to the hotel and relax.
Day 03 :
Polonnaruwa & Departure
- Visit Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka's medieval capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Explore ancient temples, royal palaces and Buddha statues.
- Gal Vihara: four magnificent Buddha statues carved in rock.
- Parakrama Samudra: a large ancient reservoir.
- Vatadage: a circular relic house with stunning stone carvings.
- Drive back to Colombo or Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
